The architecture conservation
in the second period of the twentieth-century
The twentieth-century architecture is subjected to a sort of isolation compared to the former centuries. The inadequate consideration of its values are revealed in all the circumstances were adaptation, building or urban renovation works are required. In Italy the protection law states that seventy years have to pass by since the construction of the buildings, wether they are private or public properties. Meanwhile, it seems contradictory, but since 2002 the Italian Ministry of Culture has been promoting the second period of the twentieth-century architecture census which is based on unrelated to temporary perspective criteria.
The situation leads to some issues that we will describe through examples regarding not only Italian but also other countries overview.
