Teatro Vaccaj a Tolentino ha origini settecentesche ed un passato di nomi illustri nel mondo dell’opera e delle rappresentazioni. Gli interventi di restauro da poco conclusi sono il risultato di un lungo iter di lavori iniziato per ripristinare i danni di un incendio divampato nel 2008 e, successivamente, per fronteggiare problemi strutturali emersi a seguito delle scosse sismiche del 2016.
Peculiarità degli interventi strutturali è l’applicazione delle tecniche dell’intonaco armato e della ristilatura armata dei giunti sulle murature dell’emiciclo in laterizio. Acciaio e materiali compositi trovano impiego abbinato ai fini di riparazione e miglioramento sismico dell’intera struttura.

From the 18th century until nowadays Teatro Vaccaj in Tolentino has been synonymous with opera and performances.
Demaged first by a fire in 2008 and then by the earthquake in 2016 is now completely restored; peculiarities of the structural interventions are the application of the techniques of the reinforced plaster and of the reinforced repointing of the joints on the brick walls of the hemicycle.
Steel and composite materials were used combined for the repair and seismic improvement of the entire structure.
